Who's is going to appear on the cover of volume four of World Who's Who in Jazz, Cabaret, Music and Entertainment?

Diva Rebecca Spencer, one of the greatest names in American entertainment appears on the cover of Volume III of the World Who's Who.

Who is on the cover? That is the question! The editorial board and graphic artists of the World Who's Who in Jazz, Cabaret, Music and Entertainment are debating and arguing in heated sessions. What are they arguing about? It is no secret for the insiders: The cover of volume four of Maximillien de Lafayette's huge set of 6 volumes on music, showbiz and divas. "It is a big deal...a serious matter for us." said Germaine Poitiers, an associate editor of the Who's Who. Carol Lexter who is in charge of editing data and biographies of artists to be included in the forthcoming volumes said: "We have to come up with names that represent the new image of the industry  and select the best of the best in the business. It is a tough call. We prefer new and bright talents. The old cliché is passé. We need fresh blood..." Peggy North who was instrumental in the preparation of "Entertainment Divas, Cabaret, Jazz Then and Now" an international best seller by Maximillien de Lafayette, author of the Who's Who told La Femme magazine: "No, it is not going to be Tony Bennett or Peggy Lee. Probably, new talents...I am talking about faces of the new wave of music...something exciting...new stuff, new names with a bright future..." Lafayette would not comment on the subject. He simply said: "I just write books. I am not involved with covers. I don't want people to say, Lafayette has favorites, he is biased or he is doing favors to his friends and buddies. The World Who's Who  is a serious book, part history and part biographic research. My personal feelings should not jeopardize the integrity and seriousness of my work." Carol Lexter told La Femme magazine: "The covers of volumes one, two and three were fabulous. We had big names and rising stars in the business on the previous covers.  Some are legends in their own right, others are new talents with a promising career. For example, Carol Welsman, winner of the Canadian Jazz awards appeared on the front cover of volume one.
